Panel-Ready (Integrated) Dishwasher and Fridge Installation

Panel-ready appliances disappear into your cabinets, but only if the installer gets the panel alignment, door balance and reveals right. Whatever the brand (Bosch Benchmark, Miele, Thermador, Sub-Zero, Fisher & Paykel, Café, KitchenAid and more), the job is the same: the appliance goes in level and secure, and your cabinetmaker's panel becomes its door, matching the drawers beside it. This page covers what has to be ready and the common problems.

Price

Service Starts around
Panel-ready dishwasher install $200
Integrated or built-in fridge install $800
Haul-away $70

Most standard installs start around this price. Your final quote depends on access, haul-away and what's already in place, and we confirm it before booking.

What to have ready before we arrive

  • Custom panels built to the manufacturer's panel template (size, thickness, weight limit), finished, with handles
  • Panels delivered to the house before install day
  • The appliance's installation guide, plus the cabinet opening matched to it
  • The same water, drain and power prerequisites as a standard dishwasher or built-in fridge, already in place
  • Neighbouring cabinet doors and drawers installed, so we can align to them

How we install it

  1. Install the appliance. Set, level and secure as per the dishwasher or built-in fridge process.
  2. Mount the panel. Using the template, the panel is screwed to the door through the supplied brackets, from inside the door.
  3. Balance the door. On dishwashers we set the door spring tension to the panel weight. On fridges we adjust the hinges and the door-to-door gap.
  4. Align the reveals. The panel is adjusted up and down, left and right, and in and out so the gaps match the cabinets around it.
  5. Final check. Open and close cycles, a leak or temperature check, and the toe kick fitted.

Common problems we see

  • Panel too heavy or thick. Every model has a maximum panel weight. Over it, the door drops open.
  • Handles not drilled. Panels should come with handle holes, because drilling on site risks blowout.
  • Panels arriving late. We can install the appliance and come back for the panels, but that's a second trip.
  • Wrong opening height for an integrated dishwasher. That shows up as a mismatched gap at the top drawer line.

What's not included

We install appliances into spaces and connections that already exist. We don't do rough-in, new plumbing or gas lines, new circuits, or cabinet and renovation work. If your space needs that first, have it done before install day and we'll take it from there.
