LG and Samsung Stacked Washer and Dryer Installation
Stacking a front-load pair is the easiest way to get laundry into a closet, condo or upstairs nook, but it's a job where small mistakes get expensive. LG and Samsung each need their own brand-specific stacking kit, the washer has to be dead level before the dryer goes on top or the whole tower walks during the spin cycle, and the dryer vent has to stay short and uncrushed at the back. We stack, connect and test LG and Samsung pairs across Hamilton and the GTA every week.
Price
| Service | Starts around |
|---|---|
| Stacked washer and dryer install | $240 |
| Washer or dryer only (not stacked) | $155 |

Most standard installs start around this price. Your final quote depends on access, haul-away and what's already in place, and we confirm it before booking.
What to have ready before we arrive
- The stacking kit for your exact models. LG and Samsung kits are not interchangeable, and some LG pairs need a specific kit number
- Existing hot and cold taps with working shut-offs, and an existing standpipe or laundry sink drain
- An existing dryer outlet (a 240 V receptacle for electric) or an existing gas shut-off for a gas dryer, plus a 120 V outlet for the washer
- An existing exterior vent path for the dryer (4 in.), or confirmation that your model is a ventless/heat-pump unit
- Space measured with the closet doors in mind. Stacked pairs are about 75-80 in. tall and need room at the back for hoses and the vent
- Shipping bolts still in the washer box. We remove them, but you need to keep them if you'll ever move it
How we install it
- Remove shipping bolts. The 3 or 4 transit bolts at the back of the washer have to come out before it spins. If they're left in, the drum hammers itself apart.
- Level the washer. We level it on all four feet and lock the nuts. A stacked tower amplifies even a small wobble.
- Install the stacking kit. The kit's brackets are fitted to the washer top, and the dryer is lifted on by two people and secured to the kit so it can't slide.
- Connect water and drain. New hoses on the existing taps, and the drain hose into the existing standpipe at the correct height with a hose guide so it can't siphon.
- Vent and power. The dryer connects to the existing vent with a short rigid or semi-rigid duct (no foil), and a new 4-prong cord is fitted where your outlet needs one. Gas dryers connect to the existing shut-off with a new flex connector and get a leak test.
- Test both units. A rinse-and-spin to check the drain and balance, and a dryer heat check with airflow confirmed at the outside hood.
Common problems we see
- Wrong stacking kit. The most common reason a stacking job can't be finished. Check the kit against both model numbers.
- Old 3-prong dryer outlet. New dryers ship without a cord. Tell us whether your existing outlet is 3 or 4-prong so we bring the right one.
- Crushed vent in a closet. Pushing the tower back flattens foil duct and leads to slow drying and lint buildup. We use rigid or semi-rigid duct.
- Closet door clearance. Front-load doors and the dryer door swing need room, so measure with the doors open, not closed.
- Standpipe too low. If the drain sits below the water level in the drum, it siphons. The hose guide and height fix this.
Gas connections are completed by TSSA-certified gas technicians.
What's not included
We install appliances into spaces and connections that already exist. We don't do rough-in, new plumbing or gas lines, new circuits, or cabinet and renovation work. If your space needs that first, have it done before install day and we'll take it from there.
